POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (February 10, 2023) – On the heels of winning consecutive Trans Am series championships and a United States Auto Club (USAC) Silver Crown title, Chris Dyson has announced the launch of his team’s new website, www.chrisdysonracing.com.
“We’ve enjoyed and grown a strong social media presence over the five years of CD Racing’s existence,” Dyson said. “With the launch of our multi-media website, our team’s growing fan base now has a central place both to keep up with recent events and to enjoy exploring the team’s history.”
There’s a good deal of history to be explored. “When we created CD Racing, I wanted to steadily establish my teams in these new venues and put ourselves in a position to win races and championships first and foremost,” said Dyson, who already had two IMSA American Le Mans Championships to his credit prior to the formation of CD Racing. “The ‘CD’ entity was created to differentiate my personal racing efforts from the ventures our family team, Dyson Racing, had traditionally pursued (in endurance sportscar racing).
“The last five years have gone by so quickly, and in the course of time we’ve achieved more than I had originally set out to do under our own banner. In the course of time, we’ve not only won a lot of races, but we’ve also established relationships with brilliant brands and all of this merited a digital ‘home’ for the communications, images and multimedia we’ve generated. I’m really pleased with the results and I believe our fans will enjoy the site.”
For the design and execution of the team’s website, Dyson enlisted the services of AVD Motorsports, a leading communications, marketing and brand management firm, which boasts more than a decade of high-profile client service across the motorsports spectrum.
The firm, led by Ashley Van Dyke, coordinated the integration of CD Racing’s substantial content and archival footprint and has delivered a site that utilizes the latest, mobile-optimized technology and honed the style to Dyson’s precise aesthetic.
“I have to commend the AVD team for their work here,” Dyson said. “They have done excellent work for us in the past and I knew we’d have a site that showcases the team in a new way. We worked very carefully in the brainstorming stages and Ashley honed a style that really captures the essence of the team. For some time now, I’ve wanted to do a personal site, but I wanted to make sure that we had a steady supply of content. We certainly have that and I’m eager to add even more in 2023. This website design allows us to integrate some of the brilliant video content we’ve accumulated and shared on social media, and we can add podcasts and merchandise functionality as well. It all ties in well with our social media outreach and I believe it will give our fans a new place to visit and enjoy.”
CD Racing
Dyson launched the CD Racing brand in 2018 to campaign racing programs in both the Trans Am Series and in short-track open-wheel racing. The past five years have seen both entities achieve great successes in national competition, with Dyson’s entries claiming 22 National Trans Am Series wins and the primarily USAC-based effort establishing itself as a perennial frontrunner in the premier Silver Crown and Sprint Car divisions.
CD Racing will defend its 2021 and 2022 Trans Am Series championships in 2023 and the open-wheel program will continue under the leadership of crew chief Sean Michael.
